First Magical Moment

Ahh! It happened, it really happened! I had my first magical moment a few nights ago. Kalie, Diane and I decided to go out to Magic Kingdom for a few hours after work. It started off fun enough but became amazing while we were in line for Dumbo. There was a little girl in front of us in line with a Happy Birthday Button so we decided to sing Happy Birthday to her. The whole line started to sing with and she thought it was the coolest thing ever. We were her heroes for the night and after Dumbo she was determined to spend the rest of the night with us. Thankfully her mom used to work here (at the Contemporary I might add) so she understood and let us ride some more rides with her daughter. We rode Snow White and the Tea Cups with her and also saw the fireworks with her. Finally her mom decided it was time for them to go so we said good-bye to Madeline and went on our way. We came across Splash Mountain with no line and got on. During the ride we heard a lot of laughing and noise behind us and looked back. One of the guys in the boat behind us had gotten out and was walking along the side while his friend filmed it. In our shock we remembered that during our safety classes they told us that they have ways of knowing if people get out of the ride and the ride will stop. When it didn't stop we got even more concerned and decided to say something when we got to the bottom. Well we did and because they did we got to ride again without getting out. At the bottom we decided not to go again but, two managers had shown up to ask us some questions about the guys that got out. We tried to explain it to them but they couldn't quite picture where it was so one of them (Kevin) got in the boat with us. While going up the hill Kevin began screaming to turn off the water cannons which has now become our inside joke. He also told us a couple of secrets about the ride which was...Awesome! Turns out the ride was not in fact working properly, Kevin was so appreciative of our help he gave us each two fastpasses for any ride at Magic Kingdom that don't even expire till tuesday!!! The best though was seeing the park after closing. It was so beautiful!!! I'm so glad that I got to experience that entire night. It was such a great night and has even given us the tradition of always closing out a night at MK with a couple of turns on Splash.

Finally Here!!

Ok, so I finally made it here. I'm so freaking excited!! It still hasn't set in that I'm actually at DisneyWorld but I'm sure it will tomorrow when I go to traditions. Yesterday when I arrived I got my housing assignment (Chatham 19101). Its about what you would expect not overly amazing but enough to get by. I already like all of my roommates (there are 8 of here) and we seem to get along really well which is a plus. We also went and filled out all of our paperwork and learned our working locations (Contemporary Bay Lake Tower). Today was a little less exciting. We went to our welcome meeting for housing and learned all of things would get us into trouble.  Maybe tonight Kallie and I are going to go to Downtown Disney if we don't feel to tired or lazy. Tomorrow however, we get to Traditions tomorrow which I'm sure will be awesome and then..Free Admission. YAY! Its also a plus because I have Wednesday off so I can explore the whole day. On Friday and Saturday I have training all day and then I start work. Sorry if this sounds like I'm rambling but I'm still kinda tired and have a lot of things I'm tiring to remember. Let you know how training goes.

Favorite Rides: Magic Kingdom Top 5 Edition

I could be content just to ride only these for an entire day.

5. The Haunted Mansion
It makes me sad that they don't do a Nightmare Before Christmas Halloween theme but its still great. Hitchhiking Ghosts are still some of Walt's coolest creations.

4. Dumbo The Flying Elephant
I know it may seem like I'm 5 for liking this ride but I ever since I was little this is one of the images I thought when I thought DisneyWorld.

3. Space Mountain
Who doesn't love one of the magic kingdom's only and best roller coaster?

2. Splash Mountain
There is nothing better in the Florida heat and humidity than a cool down in Splash Mountain.

1. Mad Tea Party
The music and the atmosphere is what makes this ride great.
I have always loved this ride and I think it is a Disney classic that
should never be changed.

13. The Hunchback of Notre Dame
One of the most underrated classics.

Here Goes

I saw a couple of these blogs and thought that it would be a good idea to start one of my own. I wanted a way for my family and friends to be able to see what I've been up to.

I can't believe I'm leaving in 28 days. I still have a ton to do. Stay tuned I'm sure its going to be a interesting time.
